Éclat: Part 34
It's the last Éclat for the year! Or, at least the last one with a meet-up. (There'll be a special Holiday-Season At-Home challenge going up on Christmas Eve for all y'all that need an excuse to avoid your families for a couple of hours.)
And I am thrilled to be introducing our last Guest Curator for 2019, the wonderful Lyra Pramuk!
Lyra Pramuk fuses classical vocalism, pop sensibilities, performance practices and contemporary club culture in what can best be described as futurist folk music. Citing musical collaborators such as Holly Herndon and Colin Self, collaborations with the visual artist Donna Huanca, freelance writing projects, and an ongoing international performance schedule, there are a variety of creative nodes that come to feed back into Lyra’s practice.
Today we'll be making tracks using ONLY vocal samples from Lyra's upcoming 2020 release. You can download the samples from WeTransfer here.
