Éclat Part 82: International Women’s Day at House Of Music!

I am so incredibly grateful that this International Women's Day, we are able to celebrate together with a real life event here in Berlin! Thank you so much to everyone who is joining us here at House Of Music in Berlin.

However, we haven't forgotten about our wonderful members who can't be with us, whether they're near or far. So I hope, if you're logging on here from elsewhere, you'll still be joining us in this special challenge today. We're thinking of you!

Today's sample pack is absolutely a Crew effort. With everything going on in the world right now, with so many people in terrible pain and suffering because of absolutely senseless violence, it would seem absolutely callous not to acknowledge that and try and do what little we can to stand with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. A bunch of us have dug into our sample libraries and have found bits and pieces of sound to put together to make today's sample pack. It's available for download on Bandcamp on a Pay What You Want scale.

If you can't afford to support financially, that's totally okay, you can download the samples for free and participate in the challenge just the same - but if you can donate to purchase the sample pack, all the proceeds (minus bandcamp fees) will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

When you download, you'll have the choice of downloading as MP3, WAV, and many other formats. I recommend downloading as WAV or AIFF for the best quality samples.

Today's challenge is to ONLY samples from the pack to make a track of ± 2 minutes. You can use any effects you like, and chop, mangle, and stretch the samples beyond being recognisable - but you can ONLY use these samples as your sound sources.
