Éclat: Part 90
Love Scotland?
Love Trains?
Love random audio fragments from random places on the internet?
This one's for you!
Scrolling through Twitter last week I found a link to an entire folder of ScotRail train announcements, complete with an entire spreadsheet of transcriptions for each of the recordings!
Some of my favourites:
#0946: "...a wartime bomb near the railway" (relatable for those living near Ostkreuz last week)
#0975: "Attempted theft of signalling cables"
#1067: "Sheep on the railway"
#1106: "Theft of railway equipment, earlier today"
#1503: "please note that today this train is in reverse formation"
#1765: "You may wish to consider alternative transport modes"
This week's challenge is to take AT LEAST ONE of these recordings, plus any other sounds, samples, synths and effects that you like, and make a track of up to 2 minutes long.
One suggestion from the original twitter poster, in case anyone needs some ideas:
You can download direct from the Google Drive or also from this WeTransfer link.
Upload your finished track to this Google Drive here by 20:30 Berlin Time, and rejoin us on Zoom at 21:00 for our celebratory listening session!
